Jacob's Join - sharing food around a growing conversation

Let’s Grow: Jacobs Join

Sunday, 12th March 2023, 11-2pm

1. OVERALL TIMINGS

11-2 - Shared conversations facilitated by Jeni & Annette, plus fresh air and food brought by us all

10-3 - Room booking - you are welcome to stay longer, arrival from 10:30, departure by 15:00.

2. THEME, THOUGHTS AND IDEAS

Our key themes are Food, Community & Sharing, all served with a big helping of hopes and dreams for a more resilient community future. We want to encourage conversation about the value of food in community and in making community -  which seems like a great next step after our lovely walks, visits and explorations of local growing spaces so far.

3. YOUR FOOD TO SHARE

Please bring one offering of food to share that’s enough for up to 4 people - we know this will mean spare food at the end, this is done intentionally so we all have food to take away to enable you to carry on the conversation with others too. Food can be anything that works for you and your time constraints - whether it’s a bag of crisps or something that’s taken hours to prepare, all food is the right food.

4. FACILITATED SHARING

Jeni & Annette will facilitate the group sessions using Participatory Practice methods of Circle Way and World Cafe - they both might sound grand but they are chosen as approaches that are comfortable to be part of and a lovely way of giving everyone space and time to add their voice into the conversation, if they wish to. More info here: https://lets-cp.blogspot.com/2022/12/participatory-practice_7.html.
